January 2020 Spokane Homeless Connect
2020 Spokane Homeless Connect Update!
A quick reminder that the 2020 Spokane Homeless Connect, scheduled for Thursday, January 30th, 2020, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Spokane Convention Center, is quickly approaching! Remember to SAVE THE DATE. Our theme for the 9th Annual Spokane Homeless Connect is "One Community, One Goal." The 2020 Connect will take place at the Spokane Convention Center, a much larger venue with more space for everyone, including our vendors/service providers! Please note the following:
1. Vendor Sign-Up. We have an amazing number of Vendors already committed to the January Connect, but there is still room for you and your agency. If you have not yet signed up for a table as a Service Provider/Vendor, it’s time! You can start RIGHT NOW by clicking this link and taking this poll (yes, we’ve gone hi-tech). This will let us know that you want to participate as a vendor/service provider, and someone will contact you.
2. Sponsors & Donors. We are also looking for additional financial sponsors and donors to help underwrite the cost of the new venue. And, if you just want to make a donation toward the January Connect, you can use our PayPal link here. To become a Connect sponsor for as little as $250.
3. Volunteers Needed (so Sign-Up!). Yes, we need volunteers. Want to volunteer to help at the Connect? Got a church or service group that would like to volunteer and help? Here's the Volunteer Sign-Up Link! Feel free to circulate the link to your lists!
4. Promotional Flyers. Yes, it's time to begin promoting the event among our clients! We've posted our primary flyers below as PDFs that you can download, print and distribute! Go for it!
5. News Release. We are beginning a series of News Releases to alert local media about the Connect. Our first News Release is about the Connect moving to the Spokane Convention Center because the Connect has outgrown our former host facility at the Salvation Army. If you and/or your agency have media contacts that you are willing to use on behalf of promoting the Connect, please feel free to forward our News Releases to your media contacts. We all benefit when we collaborate.
6. Winter Clothing Needs. The Connect needs additional donations of winter weather apparel (gloves, hats, coats, new dry socks, etc.). If you, your church, your agency, or your social network would like to do a winter clothing drive, we would love to have you participate.
Last year’s Spokane Homeless Connect served 540 people. Due to our new location at the Spokane Convention Center, and the intense community focus on homelessness, we expect the 2020 Connect to be the largest in 9 years! Now is the time to get involved and discover how you and your agency can use your unique gifts, talents, and services to make the 9th Annual Spokane Homeless Connect the most successful Connect yet! Let's show our Community what fearless compassion and unconditional love look like when it comes to serving those in need.

The 2020 Spokane Homeless Connect Moves To A New Venue!
Join Us For The 2020 Spokane Homeless Connect Thursday, January 30, 2020 at our new venue, The Spokane Convention Center! We genuinely appreciate the generosity of The Salvation Army over the past several years in hosting the Spokane Homeless Connect free of charge. But in the past couple of years, it's become very clear (and our service providers have informed us!) that the Connect is growing, we've run out of room and we need a bigger space. The Planning Committee has been busily at work securing a larger facility, and we're excited to announce that we have secured the Spokane Convention Center for the 2020 Spokane Homeless Connect! There's more. Our planning for 2020 is just getting started! So, Stay tuned!
